On-time monthly

While Stripe invoices succeed, your license stays active, the bot accepts your key, and Discord renewal roles stay applied when configured.

Card decline / unpaid

When payment fails or the subscription is no longer active:

1. License status becomes inactive
2. months_owed starts accruing from the lapse date ($50 × months missed)
3. Discord is set to Expired / member may be kicked
4. Desktop validate returns inactive — the bot will not stay open on that key

Reactivate

On Dashboard → Subscription:

1. Review months owed and arrears total
2. Click Reactivate & pay — Stripe Checkout charges missed months (added to the first invoice) and starts monthly again
3. Or use Update payment method (Customer Portal) if you only need a new card on an open subscription

Until arrears are cleared and status is active again, the bot stays locked.

Lifetime (employees only)

Staff employee_lifetime keys do not bill and never accrue arrears.
